Blue Beetle runtime: How long is Blue Beetle?
Blue Beetle is almost here! Whether you plan to catch the newest addition to the DC movies, you’ll probably want to know how long it is, right?
Jaime Reyes, our young hero, is about to embark on his craziest adventure yet: his newly acquired blue symbiotic buddy basically turns into an alien battle suit at his disposal. That alone sounds like an excellent excuse to go watch Blue Beetle, doesn’t it? It gives me Iron Spider vibes, quite frankly. Yes, I just compared a Marvel hero to a DC hero, but I do think these two are more similar than we’d care to admit.
As the latest addition to the DC movie collection, but not part of the reboot of the DCU, it will take viewers on a breathtaking journey of superheroism as the Blue Beetle tangles with some interesting forces. It’s worth noting that while this movie isn’t part of James Gunn’s reboot, it still will usher in a new wave of DC films, marking its significance.
If you’re planning on being a part of that success and watching Blue Beetle in theaters, here’s how long you can expect it to be.
How long is Blue Beetle?
Blue Beetle has a runtime of 2 hours and 2 minutes (or 122 minutes). This makes it a bit longer than many of its DC counterparts, standing out from its previous releases, which ranged around 114 to 120 minutes. Considering the intense plot points and its crucial role in setting the stage for future DCEU endeavors, the length makes sense.
The film’s duration aligns with many recent DC movies, like Birds of Prey, The Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman 1984, which were either slightly shorter or longer than Blue Beetle (while larger movies like Justice League: The Snyder Cut had much longer runtimes).
Blue Beetle opens in theaters Friday, August 18!
