9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is probably one of, if not the weakest of the Fox X-Men movies. You would think a solo Wolverine film would be a bonafide hit but Fox proved that wrong with this entry.

Showcasing a more melodramatic narrative revealing a more personal side to Wolverine with his side love story to ground the character more just simply didn’t connect with most audiences. It was a cheese fest through and through with its messy plot. Although not everything was a failure for this entry.

We get some cool action sequences thanks to Jackman’s skills. In fact, we get one of the most iconic badass scenes in the franchise with Logan being held captive and experimented on by Stryker and his Weapon X program. At this moment the film gives the audience an up-close and personal look at the exact moment Logan is injected with adamantium serum into his system.

From a presumably failed attempt to create a super weapon, we see Logan go from being in a lifeless vulnerable state to a full-on wild animal unhinged and unleashing himself from his restraints and proving why Hugh Jackman makes such a fantastic Wolverine in the first place.
