7. X-Men: Apocalypse

Despite receiving the same harsh critiques, 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse offered some fantastic moments catering to any die-hard fan. Two of my favorite moments from the X-Men films are both featured in Apocalypse.

One is with Sophie Turner as Jean Grey tapping into her power and letting go offering an epic scene for the film that truly gave me chills. The other features Jackman’s Wolverine once again in a brief but very welcomed cameo in one of the most badass scenes in the movie.

The sequence takes place at Alkali Lake where Jean, Scott, and Kurt come across a mysterious cell holding an unknown prisoner that Jean quickly connects to. To help them escape the guards of the facility Jean releases opens the cell revealing the prisoner inside to be Wolverine aka Weapon X, a feral hellbent machine who takes out Stryker’s guards like a piece of cake.

This moment was such a great addition to the film and a pleasant surprise. Although his time on screen was limited, Hugh Jackman made sure to make every second worth it showing his incredible strength both in physicality and in his thrilling performance in this violent and exciting cameo in Apocalypse.
