3. X-Men: Days of Futures Past

X-Men: Days of Futures Past is one of the greatest comic book movies of all time. This movie connects years of storytelling from the original X-Men trilogy to the latest rounding out its trilogy as well.

Worlds and timelines collide in this chapter for the X-Men where they team up with their younger counterparts in the past to go against their biggest threat yet in the present time. When the only choice is to send one of their own back in time, Wolverine is revealed to be the only mutant capable to withstand the intensity of the experience to travel back in time due to his healing factor.

With Logan back in the past, it serves as an interesting look at how the younger counterparts to Charles, Magneto, and others act around him not knowing who he is while he has to convince them of their alliance in the future and Hugh does well in delivering a believable performance and is a natural with co-stars Fassbender and McAvoy.

Getting to see Jackman play off of both his former costars from the original trilogy and the stars of the new franchise was a huge win for fans, and who better to bridge the story than the franchise’s iconic star?!
