3. Christoph Waltz

When it comes to brilliant, fully fleshed out bad guys, Christoph Waltz might just be one of the most iconic villain actors of the last two decades. He has repeatedly delivered next level performances that draw you and keep you guessing.

And if he were to be pulled into the MCU, the only character we can honestly see him portraying is Magneto. Not only would he bring a sense of drama to the role, but he also knows how to be ominous and terrifying.

Considering how powerful Erik is in terms of his mutant gifts, it’s been hinted at in past movies that he has near limitless abilities, it makes sense to have an actor who can step up and bring a level of magnetism that is hard to ignore. Plus, Christoph Waltz is an absolute scene stealer every single time. No matter what role he is in, our eyes are drawn to him when he shows up on screen.

As far as Magneto goes, there is something about Waltz that just makes sense. And we would not be upset if he ended up being the man behind the efforts to protect other mutants to a point that sends him down a dark road.

There are so many actors we could see portraying members of the X-Men, but when it comes to Magneto, we need someone special. And Christoph Waltz has that “it” factor we believe the role needs.
