The previous episode of Harley Quinn season 4 furthered the possible downfall of Harley Quinn’s relationships. First, Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) thinks that Poison Ivy killed Nightwing. Harley doesn’t believe Ivy would do this. Ivy knows killing Nightwing would ruin Harley’s position in the Bat Family. Unfortunately, Ivy has been too busy to confirm this. Every time she tries to talk to her, Ivy brushes her off.

Things get worse after Harley tells Barbara Ivy didn’t kill her. Joker walks into the Legion of Doom’s party and announces he’s back to evil-doing. He declares his return by telling the L.O.D. that he killed Nightwing. Before Harley can do anything, Barbara leaves the party crying. On top of that, Harley sees herself in the distance with a sinister look in their eyes.

The first thing to unpack is Harley’s sleepwalking. In episode 5, Barbara’s friend Alysia Yeoh thinks Harley is repressing her villain side. In episode 6, she stabs a bunch of pillows and shaves Catwoman’s cat in her sleep. It makes sense. She’s been doing destructive things in her sleep. Seeing herself at the end of the episode is likely her mind playing tricks on her. However, don’t rule out someone like Dr. Psycho or a shape-shifter messing with her.

Joker’s return to his evil ways didn’t take long. Harley is already dealing with Ivy not being affectionate to her. Now her ex (Joker) is back and working with Ivy. This episode could end with #HarlIvy possibly breaking up. Joker will be supportive of Ivy being in charge and Harley won’t believe him. She’ll be right to worry. Joker always has a trick up his sleeve. he probably wants Ivy’s spot in the L.O.D.

On a smaller note, look for a Kite Man sighting (Hell yeah). He’s been missing all season and, if anyone can help Harley with Ivy, it’s her ex-fiancé. This could also be a way to remind people of his upcoming solo series. She could meet him in the bar that he does (or will) own.
