A new Marvel Disney Plus show is coming next week, yet no one seems to care

Disney Plus is set to drop a new Marvel series next week on Disney Plus, yet no one seems to care at all that a new MCU show is coming!
It’s strange to think that we’re entering the final months of 2023 and only one Marvel Disney Plus show has debuted thus far, that show being Secret Invasion which ran from June 21 to July 26. What’s even stranger is the fact that the first week of September is about to bring with it the second MCU show of the year, yet no one seems to be paying any attention.
On Sept. 6, Disney will debut the second season of I Am Groot bringing fans five new shorts marking it the first new MCU-set series to debut this year. This should be exciting news for fans, yet most fans seem to have forgotten all about the show and show no signs of caring about the upcoming second season.

Fans react to I Am Groot season 2 release date
With the premiere of I Am Groot season 2 fast approaching, Marvel has begun promoting the new season on social media including through the Guardians of the Galaxy social media platforms. While there is a clear interest among some fans, the overwhelming reaction seems to surprisingly be a lack of enthusiasm at all about the show’s return.
While most Marvel fans count down the days until the premieres of Marvel shows, it appears most Marvel fans forgot I Am Groot season 2 was coming — with some not even realizing the show’s first season had already debuted. Here are just a few of the reactions from fans:

The reaction from Marvel fans is fair in that the show isn’t technically a series but rather a complication of shorts. It also should be noted that the five episodes arriving on Sept. 6 were originally intended to be the second part of what was billed as season 1. However, Marvel changed its release strategy and has instead billed these new five shorts as the show’s second season.
Of course, it won’t be long before a new Marvel show does arrive as Loki season 2 will kick off this October in what is sure to be Disney Plus’s most-watched series of the year so far!
