Review: Super7’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Ultimates are nostalgic fun
I’m a 90’s kid. So that meant I was obsessed with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers growing up. If you’re like me, you need to check out Super7.
Super7’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Ultimates line is so incredibly nostalgic and fun. It’s like going back in time.
I remember getting all of the Rangers with the flip-action morphing heads for Christmas one year. I think I was 6-years-old or so. From there, things exploded.
I got monsters, I got Zords, I got VHS tapes. I needed MMPR.
Jump ahead 20+ years and I figured it would be really hard for anything to scratch that same itch. But Super7’s Ultimates line has done just that. Imagine those iconic 90’s toys and combine them with the modern-days technology and quality.
Boom. That’s what you’re getting.
No, really. I went out and bought two more figures after getting Rita (the Dragonzord and Tyrannosaurus Zord).
So let’s talk about Rita.
If you first look at this and get a bit confused… I don’t blame you. I was as big of a MMPR fan as anyone, and I never knew Rita ever donned a purple outfit.
Turns out, it comes from the MMPR stage show from the mid-90’s. Talk about a deep cut.
It looks incredible in hand. It poses well enough for Rita, with the head sculpts evoking some real emotion and the plethora of accessories providing plenty of options.
Here’s everything she comes with:
- Screaming head
- ‘Headache’ head
- Two fists
- Two grip hands (vertical hinges)
- Two grip hands (horizontal hinges)
- Two ‘expressive’ hands
- Two bracelets
- Wired fabric dress
- Love potion
- Red Power Crystal
- Red Candle
- Magic staff/wand
If you’re interested in Vile Violet Rita Repulsa, then you can order her at Super7’s online store for $55. Or you can check out their previous releases (like Goldar or Tommy Oliver’s Green Ranger) or their upcoming releases like the Megazord.
Don’t wait. This Rita Repulsa would be a great addition to any fan cave – especially with Halloween around the corner.
