Sweet Tooth is a post-apocalyptic fantasy drama series that follows the story of a hybrid deer-boy named Gus who embarks on a perilous adventure through a devastated world with a loner named Jepperd. The series is based on the comic book series of the same name by Jeff Lemire.
The world in Sweet Tooth is one that has been ravaged by a virus that has killed most of the human population and resulted in the birth of hybrid babies, half-human and half-animal. Gus is one of these hybrids who is forced to leave his forest sanctuary to search for his mother. In his journey, he meets Jepperd, who becomes his protector and guide through the dangerous world filled with humans who fear and hunt down the hybrid children.
