These 15 comic book moments and actors prove that there are good parts in unpopular movies.

Not every comic book movie is going to be a winner. The cast, script, and source material could be perfect, but the execution falls flat.

For example, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Moviegoers anticipated this sequel. In this writer’s opinion, it was a disappointment. It lacked all of the fun of the first movie. There’s also Spider-Man 3 which is looked at as the worst comic book movie of all time. Nevertheless, there were still impressive parts in both of those movies.

In this article, this writer will point out some of the amazing scenes or performances in “bad” comic book films because even the worst projects have memorable moments.

15. Sophie Turner in Dark Phoenix

Dark Phoenix was an awful movie with terrible villains. What’s even worse is a lot of the X-Men were poorly done as well. However, Sophie Turner was a bright spot in Dark Phoenix. She put on a performance worthy of Jean Grey. It’s unfortunate that her acting was lost among all the cringy moments.

Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey should have gone up against someone from the Shi’ar Empire. Instead, her antagonist was a villain you certainly don’t remember. In the end, Dark Phoenix becomes an example of why fans wanted the right of the X-Men with Disney. Thankfully, it was one of the last two Marvel Comics movies 20th Century Fox produced.
