DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Every character ranked from worst to best
13. Astra Logue
When Constantine fans heard the name Astra Logue mentioned, their ears perked up. The character is synonymous with the Master of the Dark Arts, so it begged the question of if she was going to make her presence felt. That is exactly what happened when Legends revealed that the little girl whose soul was dragged to hell had turned into quite the businesswoman down under. And now, she wanted revenge.
Astra was initially an antagonistic presence who unleashed some of history’s greatest threats from Hell back into the world. However, the Legends eventually made her see the error of her ways and she joined them to help stop the Fates – even though she had something of a connection to them.
Astra had a problem connecting with others around her, partly due to the trauma she experienced in Hell and because she struggled to trust others. But the Legends did what they do best (no, not “mess things up for the better”, the other thing!) and broke through that tough exterior, showing her they would always be there for her.
Astra grew a great deal during her time with the Legends (and she won’t be the last character we say that about). A force to be reckoned with on-screen, Olivia Swann was one of our favorite additions to the show. And as Legends was expertly playing the long game with the character’s redemption, its untimely cancellation robbed us of so much more.
Nevertheless, we’ll always have her bonds with Spooner, Behrad and Gideon to celebrate and revisit.
