We’ve seen plenty of Spider-Man variants on the big and small screen over the years, but who played the young man behind the mask the best?

Spider-Man has been a presence on the big screen since his cinematic debut in Sam Raimi’s game-changing 2002 movie. The Marvel webslinger has been a part of the pop-culture conversation for a lot longer than that, swinging his way onto the comic book pages all the way back in 1960. He’s a respected veteran, to say the least, but his popularity has grown exponentially since he became a legend of the movies.

As much as audiences love the wallcrawler’s action-packed adventures, one of the main reasons that he remains so popular is the young man behind the mask. Peter Parker is a high school student fighting for those he loves, stopping at nothing to keep his neighborhood safe – whether that means protecting those in the neighborhood he actually resides in or protecting the whole planet from an alien invasion.

We have seen multiple actors take on the role of Peter Parker over the years, most notably three in separate Spider-Man movie franchises over the past two decades, and all of them bring something unique to the role. With that in mind, let’s rank each of them.

Note: While there were multiple other actors to voice Spidey on TV and in video games, this list will take a look at the six most famous (and best) to do so on the big-screen or small-screen.
