2. Tom Holland
Perhaps no actor approaches Peter Parker with the enthusiasm that Tom Holland does. The current of our Peters, he plays the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and to say that he is perfect in the role of the endearing high school student with super powers would be an understatement.
Holland’s Peter is so earnest. He’s eager to please and protect those around him, something we saw from his very first appearance in the MCU. Holland thrives on that, effortlessly bringing the youthful element of the character to life in a way that we hadn’t seen on the big screen before.
The young actor has also spent more time with Peter than previous actors, headlining his own trilogy, as well as appearing in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The character has grown up, and Holland along with him. He’s committed to that growth as well, showcasing a range of emotions throughout his many appearances thus far, personifying his journey from Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man to universe-saving Avenger.
Peter Parker is known for his adorkable ways and Tom Holland captures that beautifully. From his endearing friendship with Ned Leeds to his chemistry with MJ, Peter is at the heart of the MCU’s Spider-Man movies – moreso than Spider-Man himself. And Holland has no problem showing us all why that is, highlighting what makes Peter different from every other hero in the MCU; his youth and his heart.
