9. Tye Sheridan
Tye Sheridan has been making a name for himself in Hollywood over the past 15 years, appearing in hard-hitting and thought-provoking films like The Tree of Life, Mud and the docudrama thriller The Stanford Prison Experiment. However, he hit the big time when he landed leading roles in Fox’s X-Men film series and Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One.
If his role in the latter movie proved anything, it’s that he’s more than capable of carrying ambitious larger-than-life productions set in futuristic landscapes. And, if that tells you anything, it’s that he’s more than equipped to play the Batman of the Future.
Sheridan has been a rumored favorite to play the role for some time now, and it’s easy to see why. If he did end up playing Terry in a potential Batman Beyond film in the DC Universe, it wouldn’t be the first time that he played a superhero. We referenced earlier that he appeared in the X-Men franchise as he played Scott Summers (a.k.a. Cyclops) in both X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix.
Though the latter was a problematic movie, he did a fantastic job in both films – and now that the Fox franchise is seemingly done (following the Disney/Fox merger), he deserves the chance to shine in the heroic role that we only saw glimpses of in the X-Men movies.
