The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon episode 1 runtime: How long is the premiere?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon makes its long-awaited arrival on AMC, but how long will the premiere episode run for?
Norman Reedus brings back Daryl Dixon in an all-new The Walking Dead spinoff. One of three new shows set within the TWD Universe, the aptly titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was originally intended to be a spinoff focusing on Reedus’ character and Melissa McBride’s Carol Peleteir, but the plan was changed when McBride departed the show prior to its production (though she is still expected to be involved in some capacity).
The show promises to be like no other outing in the franchise, exploring Europe for the first time as Daryl finds himself in France after washing ashore. It’s an unfamiliar territory for him but he seemingly sets out to complete the promise that he made in The Walking Dead‘s series finale – to see what’s out there in the world.
If you’re ready to see that with him and would like to know how long the series premiere is going to be, here’s what you need to know.

How long is The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 1 episode 1?
According to the schedule on AMC’s official website, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has an allocated broadcast runtime of around 90 minutes. That means that if you’re watching it without commercials (like if you’re streaming it on AMC+), then its runtime will be roughly 60 minutes.
The TWD Universe franchise has a bit of a reputation for longer episodes, but this is the first time that one of its shows will run for this long in quite a significant time. While some episodes of fellow spinoff The Walking Dead: Dead City leaned into the longer territory, they didn’t have runtimes over an hour.
With limited episodes, it isn’t surprising that these shows opt for longer runtimes to get their stories told, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon‘s bumper-length series premiere will certainly go a long way in gifting the show with that cinematic feel fans are expecting it to provide.
