Just when you thought we had enough Star Wars going around, here we are to debrief you on everything we know about The Bad Batch season 3.

Back in May, when we were all snuggled up to our Star Wars plushies while wearing Star Wars shirts and holding out lightsabers (not just me, right?), we thought Star Wars Celebration 2023 couldn’t get any more epic. But then, the godfather of Star Wars animation himself, Dave Filoni, dropped quite the bombshell. Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be back for its third and, yes, final season.

Sure, you’ve been captivated by the incredible episodes of The Mandalorian, wished The Book of Boba Fett had been a movie or a few extra Mandalorian episodes, either very pleased or disappointed in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and currently enjoying Ahsoka, but let’s not forget that it was the animated part of the galaxy that started this craze over Star Wars shows that touched on lore that was either resuscitated or reimagined once Disney took over.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels stole our hearts, made us feel like kids swooning over cartoons on Saturday mornings, and told incredible stories from a unique point of view. The Bad Batch is that exquisite bridge between Clone Wars and Rebels.

Now, I know you’re hungry for details, so let’s feast on what we know.

Is there a trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3?

Got FOMO? Well… join the club. Though a small reel dropped at Star Wars Celebration 2023, it’s not available for public viewing yet. Though we’re all sad about it, we can provide you with some of the details of the trailer. Dee Bradley Baker returns to voice your favorite clones, including Hunter and Wrecker.

Fan-favorite Clone Trooper Wolffe also makes an appearance, as does the elusive Emperor

Palpy

Palpatine, voiced by the incredible and irreplaceable Ian McDiarmid. Also, Ming-Na Wen is back to lend her voice to the enigmatic bounty hunter Fennec Shand. Season 3 will most likely focus on Omega and her connection to Palpatine’s cloning plans.

When is Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 coming out?

The Bad Batch season 3 will be dropping in 2024, though an exact release date has not been announced.

Where can I watch The Bad Batch?

You can watch the first two seasons and the third, final, and upcoming season of The Bad Batch on the galaxy’s go-to hub for all things Star Wars: Disney+.

Who’s involved in the production of The Bad Batch season 3?

None else other than Dave Filoni and his trusty crew, including executive producers Brad Rau, Athena Portillo, and series co-creator Jennifer Corbett.

What will The Bad Batch season 3 plot be?

I can’t probe Dave Filoni’s brain. If I could, not only would I ask him this question but I’d also ask him to clarify some much-needed plot details before I lose my mind.

Anyway, I’ve got a few educated guesses about the plot. Season 3 is likely to revolve around Omega and her mysterious sister, who we saw in the season 2 finale. Palpy Emperor Palpatine’s cloning plans will probably play a part in it as well if the reel was any indication, and it lays the groundwork for his return in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

So there you have it, my friends. Buckle up, because The Bad Batch is preparing for its final hyperspace jump, and it’s a journey you won’t want to miss. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the 2024 release.
