6 worst Arrowverse heroes, ranked
5. Wavelength
Allegra Garcia never actually used the term “Wavelength” on The Flash but as there is a deleted scene from the series finale in which she finally refers to herself as it, we’re going to use it.
Like Khione, Allegra should have been on a list of the Arrowverse’s best superheroes. She’s certainly powerful enough to earn her place on it. But the character was never given the stage to showcase what she was truly capable of, and the writing let her down as the show often went back-and-forth with her powers, their levels, and what she was able to accomplish for the sake of the plot.
From what it seems, she was as powerful as Marvel Comics’ Captain Marvel, and yet the show barely made use of that. Half of the time she needed to charge herself using what was essentially an iPad, and the other times, the show was more focused on her infuriatingly repetitive romance with Chester that it was just hard to take the character seriously.
Allegra was an alluring new addition to The Flash in season 6. I was so excited when it was announced that she would be a series regular from season 7 onwards, but the show barely gave her anything substantial to work with. She only got the focus whenever the leads were written out of the show (which automatically left fans with a bad taste in their mouths) and it was usually for silly low-stakes episodes that carried little importance to the overall narrative.
Allegra could have been a superstar, but like so many of the show’s additions after season 5, she was just super underwhelming.
