2. Furious 7

  • Release Year: 2015
  • Director: James Wan
  • Cast: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Djimon Hounsou, Kurt Russell, and Jason Statham

Furious 7 is the seventh movie of the film franchise, and it’s the final movie starring Paul Walker. As mentioned, Walker was killed in a car accident in 2013. He’s featured in a lead role in Furious 7, which was in production at the time of his death. After a break, production used Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, to finish filming.

The film is the most epic of the Fast and Furious movies. There’s no doubt about that. The stakes are so much higher, and it feels like the end of a trilogy of with Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6, which are two of the three best movies of the franchise, in my opinion.

Following the events of Fast & Furious 6, Dom, Brian, and the rest of the crew are pulled back into the thick of it by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), the brother of Owen Shaw who was captured in a coma during the previous film. Deckard starts targetting Dom and his crew, and they band together, again, to stop him after Deckard “killed” Han, although we know that it was all a set up by Mr. Nobody in F9.

Furious 7 is an amazing movie, and it’s easily one of the best of the Fast and Furious franchise. It took everything I had to not put this movie No. 1.
