F9 is the tenth movie of the Fast and Furious movie franchise, but it’s the ninth movie involving Vin Diesel and the rest of Dominic Toretto’s family and team.

Speaking of family, that’s what F9 is all about. Thirty years after Dom’s father died in a car accident and he kicked his brother out of the family, Jakob (John Cena), Dom’s brother, returns. He’s working with a team of specialists who kidnapped Cipher after Dom and the gang stopped her at the end of The Fate of the Furious story. Now, Dom and the gang must work together to stop Jakob and Otto (Thue Ersted Rasmussen).

There’s a lot going on in F9. It’s easily the biggest and most expansive movie of the Fast and Furious franchise to date. There are a bunch of subplots, reveals, and tributes to other characters and movies in F9.

I wish that I could move it higher up on the list of the best Fast and Furious movies, but it felt a little more bloated than it needed to be. The creative team could have been a bit more efficient with the pacing. I felt the story dragged at times, but overall, I still really liked the movie.
