The Fast and the Furious is the movie that sparked one of the most popular and highest-grossing action franchises of all time. The film premiered in 2001.

The Fast and the Furious tells the story of LAPD officer Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker), who goes undercover to infiltrate a criminal organization run by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) that uses fast cars and incredible driving skills to rob semi trucks on deserted highways. While Brian is working to take down the team from the inside, he also begins to befriend and form relationships with several people in Dom’s crew.

Looking back, The Fast and the Furious is such an iconic movie. It was released at the perfect time in movie history, and it changed the way that audiences interact with car movies. I don’t think we’ll ever see a gritty but super-popular car movie like The Fast and the Furious ever again, not when the studios can make hundreds of millions on mega-action movies.

This movie is such a good re-watch! It’s incredible to see this cast come together, and the story is great.
