TMNT: Mutant Mayhem: 5 characters who should appear in the sequel

There are a number of different characters from the TMNT lore who could appear in the hotly anticipated sequel to TMNT: Mutant Mayhem.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has seen a resurgence with the recent release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The animated film has been beloved by both fans and critics, however, there were some interesting character choices for the first film.

With the turtles leaning more into their teenage side for this film, showcased through the use of teenage voice actors, the movie took a different approach in selecting characters for this particular story.

While Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, Splinter, and April O’Neil are all present, other mainstays of the franchise were absent. One such example is the absence of the Foot Clan and their leader the Shredder. The film instead chooses to focus on a group of mutant villains for the film, led by Superfly.

Based on the ending of the film, the Turtles will be preparing themselves to take on a new adversary, which could open up the chance for a number of characters to make their debut in this new Turtles universe.

The story could certainly take a number of different routes, with the TMNT lore having a bucket full of characters for Seth Rogen and co. to choose from for the sequel’s storyline.
