TMNT: Mutant Mayhem: 5 characters who should appear in the sequel

5. Casey Jones

While longtime TMNT ally April O’Neil made a substantial appearance in the film, the Turtles’ other major human pal was noticeably absent from the film. Casey is a major part of the TMNT family, often being a romantic interest for April and a best friend/rival to Raphael.

In recent media, Casey has been somewhat absent. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles barely featured the hockey mask-wearing vigilante, however, April was a central character. Casey could be utilized in a potential sequel as another high school student, similar to his depiction in the 2012 series.

Both individuals are important for the development of the Turtles and give them different human relationships. Casey could help develop the character of Raphael and help him deal with his rage issues while creating a potential conflict with Leonardo who evidently has a crush on April in this universe.

4. Karai

Speaking on the absence of the Foot Clan in the first film, it is expected with that mid-credits tease that the group will make their debut in the sequel. This could lead to the debut of Karai, who is often depicted as the daughter of the Shredder and second in command of the Foot Clan.

While Karai is loyal to the Shredder initially, she has been depicted as an ally to the TMNT in various media and this could indeed be the case in this franchise. There are a number of ways Karai could be utilized in a potential sequel.

Having the character’s age be similar to the Turtles could allow her to pose as a high school student to be a spy or try and capture them. She could also be used for as a rival/potential crush for Leonardo like most TMNT media.

Whatever loyalty the character may hold in the film, it should be considered almost a certainty that if the Foot Clan appears that Karai will make her debut alongside her father.
