4. Riverdale season 2

Riverdale season 2 was such a good season! It picks up immediately after the season 1 finale where Fred Andrews was shot by the Black Hood at Pop’s. Archie starts to fly off the handle trying to find out who attacked his father and who is responsible for all of the bad things happening in the town.

Overall, the season was really split into two halves: Archie and Veronica on one side and Betty and Jughead on the other. Archie starts working with the Hiram Lodge, while Jughead and Betty fall in with the Serpents.

Eventually, Betty figured out that her father, Hal, was the Black Hood, the serial killer who was killing people and terrorizing the town. We also saw her figure out the mystery of her long-lost brother.

At the end of the season, we get another cliffhanger that Riverdale has become so good at over its six-season run. Penny Peabody gets her revenge on Jughead, and it looks like he’s been killed. At the last second, he recovers and becomes the King of the Serpents!

Riverdale only ramps up from season 2 to season 3, which is up next on the list.
