3. Riverdale season 3

There was so much going on in Riverdale season 3, and most of it is great! We had Archie’s whole prison stay, Gryphons & Gargoyles, and the Farm as the major mysteries that needed to be solved in the season. While I didn’t love Archie’s prison storyline or The Farm necessarily, I was totally in on Gryphons & Gargoyles.

The Gargoyle King is probably the best villain we’ve seen in the series so far. I guess the Black Hood counts, but that season was a little wonky, as previously discussed.

Riverdale season 3 is peak Riverdale to me. It doesn’t really get better after the gang solved the season 4 mystery, and it’s the last season where the main cast was really all together, working together, to fight a common foe. That all changes as the years go by.

Riverdale season 3 ended on an epic cliffhanger, too. Archie, Betty, and Veronica are standing around a bonfire in the woods covered in blood and in their underwear. Oh, and they are burning Jughead’s hat and promising never to reveal what happened. So, yeah, that was awesome! Fans got to speculate for months about what it meant for the new season and if Jughead was going to die in season 4.

Remember when Archie got attacked by the bear? Good times, good times.
