All 7 Riverdale seasons ranked from worst to best

2. Riverdale season 7
This might be a hot take, but Riverdale season 7 is the second-best season of Riverdale so far, and it’s not particularly close in my opinion. For the first time since season 1, Riverdale dialed up a recipe and momentum that could sustain for a full season. Every other season has twists and turns and exciting moments, but there are some really long stretches where things feel like the story is spread too thin or stretched out. I didn’t think that really happened with season 7.
Riverdale season 7 features one of the boldest moves of the series so far: going back in time to the 1950s. It worked out so well, though. It was such a refreshing change of pace after the chaos of season 5 and season 6. The stakes were lower in season 7, sure, but it just worked so much better than some of the higher stakes seasons we’ve seen over the last few years.
Overall, Riverdale season 7 also featured an incredibly satisfying season and series finale, possibly the best one of the series. I’m giving season 7 bonus points for that. I really enjoyed season 7, and when fans watch the seasons back on Netflix, I think everyone will realize how strong and special the last season of this great show was.
Let’s get to the best Riverdale season so far!
