Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles logo revealed

With the streaming debut of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, fans have their first glimpse of the upcoming series.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was well received by fans and critics alike, garnering a major 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Back in July, it seemed Paramount was confident in the film’s success as they announced a sequel and a two-season series that would bridge the gap between the two films. A video game based in the same universe has also recently been announced. 

With the release of the latest film on Paramount+, a promo was released showcasing all the TMNT offerings on the streaming service. While this promo showed many of the classic offerings and focused heavily on the release of the latest film, it also offered a first glimpse of the upcoming bridging series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The series is set to release in 2024 and was first announced in July. The official description of the show suggests the Turtles will be discovering themselves and life on their own for the first time:

"“The Turtles will be challenged like never before as Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey each go it alone for the first time. Faced with new threats and teaming up with old allies, the Turtles will discover who they really are when they don’t have their brothers at their sides.”"

This will follow up the events of the first film and could see a number of characters make their debut before they appear in the upcoming sequel film. The description also suggests that the TMNT will be teaming up with old allies, suggesting characters from the first film are likely to reappear as well.

The upcoming 2D animated series will also feature the voices from the film, with Shamon Brown Jr., Micah Abbey, Nicolas Cantu, and Brady Noon reprising their roles as Mikey, Donnie, Leo, and Raph.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is streaming now on Paramount+. Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled to release in 2024.
