3. The Bourne Supremacy

The Bourne Supremacy is the second of the Bourne movies. It premiered in theaters in 2004, two years after the incredibly successful first movie of the franchise, The Bourne Identity.

While The Bourne Supremacy is still an awesome action movie and great story overall, it’s just not quite as good as The Bourne Identity. For me, the intrigue and shock value of the initial mystery is what sets The Bourne Identity apart from The Bourne Supremacy, but there are so many incredible moments in this movie, too.

In the film, Jason Bourne has uncovered the truth about his identity, but he’s still being targeted by the CIA and others. After his partner is killed and he’s framed for murder, Jason Bourne seeks to reveal the truth behind the murder, clear his name, and earn his revenge.

Again, The Bourne Supremacy is still an epic action movie. It’s just not as good as the other two movies of the original Bourne trilogy.

  • Release Year: 2004
  • Director: Paul Greengrass
  • Cast: Matt Damon, Franka Potente, Brian Cox, Julia Stiles, Karl Urban, Gabriel Mann, and Joan Allen

We’re going all the way back to the beginning in our next pick, The Bourne Identity.
