2. Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams

Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams premiered in theaters in 2002, one year after the first movie. There’s no doubt that Spy Kids 2 is the second-best of the Spy Kids movies. It’s clearly better than the third, fourth, and fifth movies by a considerable margin, but it’s not quite as good as the original Spy Kids, which ranks no. 1 on our list.

In Spy Kids 2, Juni and Carmen are official members of the Organization of Super Spies. On a new mission, they are sent to an island to retrieve a device, but they’re forced to overcome a number of new challenges, foes, and more to achieve their goal. They’re tested more than they ever have been.

Spy Kids 2 is a solid movie. Of the Spy Kids movies, there are really two movies that I consider must-watch movies for everyone, and those are Spy Kids and Spy Kids 2. I’m a huge fan of the original cast. It’s clear the quality of the story of these movies started to slip after Spy Kids 2.
