Basically, Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 10 is a filler episode that is only there to confirm what we already knew would have to happen at this point.

I’m going to slap a SPOILER WARNING right off the bat with this one so I can start my ranting.

The tenth episode of Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season starts us off right where the previous episode ended – Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of his time and most beautiful man in that universe has been sealed away inside the Prison Domain. And what’s worse, according to Geto, the only way out of there is dying.

Or, you know, Yuji, Megumi, and company all arriving at the right time and busting him out of there – as is the plan. But, much to their luck, Gojo has things as hard as possible for Geto and his friends to get what they wish, and has made it nearly impossible for them to remove the box from its spot. Because… he’s Gojo, and that’s what he does.

There. It took me roughly two minutes to type those words, yet it took 23 minutes for the show to do the same. And this is why I am a little cranky about it.

Look, I get it – you have to hook your audience. Gojo is locked up, and the curses are happy yet apprehensive that the Jujutsu sorcerers now know their plan, thanks to a little spying tool made by Mechamaru. Gojo’s coworkers, friends, and students are all on an adrenaline high, rushing to his rescue. They even snuck another big curse from the manga – Death Paintings – without explaining much other than he wants revenge for his brothers.

This episode literally could have been an e-mail, but it does hype up the show for what seems to be an epic showdown coming our way next week. We are ten episodes into season 2, and with season 1 having 24 episodes, it’s safe to say that this is where the plot could shift in any direction.

Don’t forget to tune in to Crunchyroll every Thursday afternoon for the next JJK episode.
