The Marvels is about to make Marvel Studios history, but not exactly in a good way as the latest update on the movie is not just disappointing but truly shocking.
Before even hitting theaters, The Marvels is already breaking Marvel records… though we’re not sure the record the movie has just hit is exactly worth celebrating.
Ahead of the movie’s release next month, The Marvels runtime has officially been confirmed and, in a surprising twist no one saw coming, the movie has officially become Marvel’s shortest movie ever. With a runtime of 1 hour and 45 minutes, the sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel will become the shortest Marvel movie since the launch of the MCU breaking a record set 10 years ago.
Previously, it was The Incredible Hulk and Thor: Dark World that were tied for Marvel’s shortest movie with both movies sharing a runtime of 1 hour 52 minutes. With The Marvels coming in at 1 hour and 45 minutes, it will now become the shortest MCU movie by seven minutes.
It’s definitely interesting to see the movie become the shortest MCU film, but don’t let the movie’s runtime fool you. Just because the movie is going to be the shortest MCU movie Marvel Studios has released, doesn’t mean it’s going to be lacking in quality or content.
