Andrew Garfield returns as Spider-Man in an unexpected team-up in Loki via a piece of truly stunning fan-art bringing to life the dream crossover.
Remember that heartwarming Spidey reunion in Spider-Man: No Way Home? Andrew Garfield was just as excited and emotional about it as we were. He’s been geeking out ever since over the Spider-brotherhood between him, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Holland. And honestly, who could blame him?
Fans have been eager to see Garfield return again after his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Could that return come in Loki? That remains to be seen, but thanks to one talented artist we’ve now gotten the chance to see Garfield back in action.
In this spectacular piece of fan art by artist @agtdesign has our spidey-senses tingling. In typical Parker style, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man seems a tad disinterested while Mobius looks like he’s about to ask one of his trademark philosophical questions.
Though. nothing of the sort has been announced, ever, there have been multiple little “what if?” scenarios amid fans regarding possible cameos for Loki’s second season, with Garfield’s Spider-Man ever finding himself in the TVA being one of them. We can totally imagine how he’d surely be all confused if he found himself back in the MCU, especially after that mother of all showdowns with some iconic villains in No Way Home and Doctor Strange’s memory-erasing spell. With all of that being said, the ever-talented Andrew Garfield has been imagined showing up in the second season of Loki, being greeted by Owen Wilson’s snazzy time cop, Mobius.
If the fan art is anything to go by, Garfield’s Peter Parker would be in for a talk of a lifetime with our favorite TVA agent. If the Spider Society, seen back in Across the Spider-verse, had problems with what the Spider-Man trio did in No Way Home, you can imagine the TVA would as well – and it makes sense. Mobius would have no problem giving all three Parkers quite the earful about their decisions and how they impacted the multiverse. And again, though no major cameos have been confirmed for the second season of Loki, fans have been having fun imagining some great ones.
Speaking of Loki’s second season, you can prepare yourself for some more Loki action starting this Thursday, October 5 at 9 p.m. EST. Make sure to tune in every Thursday evening to catch a new Loki episode.
