12-9. The Arkham Games Gordons

Kicking off our list making up what is technically the No. 12-9 spots on our list is a quartet of actors who helped bring Gordon to life via the Arkham video game series from WB Games. Yes, that’s right we’re putting those four Gordon actors together in one grouping and we have a very good reason for doing so.

First, let’s meet the men responsible for bringing Gordon to life via the Arkham games:

  • Tom Kane in Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009)
  • David Kaye in Batman: Arkham City (2011)
  • Michael Gough in Batman: Arkham Origins (2013)
  • Jonathan Banks in Batman: Arkham Knight (2015)

This group of talented actors each played a unique role in bringing Jim Gordon to life across the four Arkham games, helping to perfectly capture the character’s essence with their own unique spin. Rather than breaking down each actor’s work separately, it felt more fitting to celebrate them together due to the similarities in which they share.

These four amazing actors each took on the legendary character and flawlessly captured the character’s spirit within their respective performances. They helped deliver the everyman-type character we’ve come to expect from Gordon, someone who is dedicated and often serves as Gotham’s moral compass. There is a reason he’s one of Batman’s most trusted allies and no Batman game could ever truly be complete without his presence.

WB Games managed to find four incredible actors in Kane, Kaye, Gough, and Banks to help bring Gordon to life in the Arkham series. Their performances sold players on the character across the series and are more than worth celebrating when counting down the best Gordon performances.
