Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely (Kang The Conqueror variant)

Jonathan Majors made his first appearance in the MCU in the season 1 finale of Loki playing a character named He Who Remains. The man at the end of time, he explained that he was a variant of Kang the Conqueror who was the only thing preventing the more dangerous versions of himself from breaking through into the main timeline. His death at the hands of Sylvie has upset the status quo and changed things for the worse.

Majors officially played Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, as the villain attempted to break out of the Quantum Realm. He also played countless of variants of Kang in that movie’s mid-credits scene, while also debuting as Victor Timely in the post-credit scene (which appears to be a scene taken directly from Loki season 2).

It’s not yet clear how Victor Timely will play into Loki‘s second season but the look on the God of Mischief’s face makes it clear that he’s not a character to be trifled with. Is he every bit as bad as his Ant-Man variant?

Majors’ performance in Quantumania earlier this year received acclaim, but that wasn’t his only high-profile role this year, as he also played Dame Anderson in Creed III. He has been acting since 2017 but it was his performance in 2020’s Lovecraft Country that garnered him widespread recognition. He is now set to become a regular presence in the MCU as different variants of Kang, who is expected to be the next big bad of the MCU.
