Loki season 2 episode 1 runtime: How long the season premiere?
Loki season 2 is here but just how long is the first episode? If you’re planning on checking out episode 1, here’s what you need to know.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe shows have been a fixture of Disney Plus‘ original line-up since 2021 when the first wave of them premiered. Loki was part of that initial wave, arriving that summer as the third MCU show on the service, but what set it apart from its predecessors was the fact that it was renewed for a second season.
Marvel Studios knew there was more to Loki’s story beyond that first season, so he has graduated to a league of his own as the only live-action show on the streaming service to return for another outing. And now that second season is upon us, as the show returns after a two-year hiatus.
If you are planning on catching up with the God of Mischief, Sylvie, Mobius and the TVA, and would like to know how long you’ll be spending with them in the premiere episode, here’s all you should know.
How long is Loki season 2 episode 1?
The Loki season 2 premiere has a runtime of 45 minutes. It’s also worth noting that this includes the end credits, and that the actual episode will come to a runtime of 39 minutes without credits.
This makes Loki season 2 episode 1 the second-shortest episode of the series thus far, only a shade ahead of the season 1 finale (which had a 40 minute runtime without credits). The shortest episode of the show’s run so far is still the third episode of season 1, which had a runtime of just 36 minutes without credits.
As the series progresses, it will likely feature episodes ranging between 40 minutes and a full-hour as that tends to be the range that the Marvel Studios shows go for (aside from the more sitcom-driven She-Hulk: Attorney At Law).
