The God of Mischief has returned and his adventures are just getting started. When can MCU fans expect Loki season 2 episode 2 to arrive on Disney Plus?

If you’ve been a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for even a little amount of time, chances are that you know Loki knows how to make an entrance. That has remained true in his own streaming series, too, as Loki made a triumphant (and shocking) return to Disney Plus this week for its second season.

That is a distinction that only it can boast among its fellow MCU live-action shows as the vast majority of them have existed as miniseries. But Loki season 2 was greenlit immediately after the first season, making sure that the God of Mischief’s adventures are in a class of their own.

That’s certainly one way of describing the premiere of season 2, as Tom Hiddleston’s trickster returned to find himself slipping through time (even in the TVA). It’s all the result of Sylvie’s actions in the season 1 finale, as her decision to kill He Who Remains distorted the timeline and has allowed the new villain Kang the Conqueror to come forth.

We’re just getting started with Loki season 2, so here’s everything you need to know about when you can expect the sophomore outing of the sophomore season.

When does Loki season 2 episode 2 come out?

Loki season 2 episode 2 will premiere on Disney Plus next Thursday, October 12, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 8:00 p.m. CT, and 7:00 p.m. MT. The remaining four episodes will be released in that same time slot on a weekly basis for the four weeks after that.

The season premiere of Loki made history as it becomes the first ever Marvel Studios show on Disney Plus to premiere during the US primetime hours, which is when most broadcast and cable shows tend to air new episodes. The streamer’s release time shake-up with Ahsoka (and its apparent success) also saw them shift Loki around, moving the show from an original Friday morning release to a Thursday evening debut instead.

With the MCU now into Phase Five – the second phase of its Multiverse Saga – Loki season 2 is expected to be a pivotal one. The first season introduced audiences to a variant of Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conqueror, setting the stage for his eventual takeover as the MCU’s next big bad. A version of him is also set to appear in Loki season 2 and his name is Victor Timely.
