1. Jordan Peele

After giving us the spine-chilling wonders that are Get Out and Us, Jordan Peele has cemented his position as the mastermind behind the kind of horror movies that make you think and that stick with you. They’re not just about the jump scares, but they dive deep into societal problems, making our gears turn long after the credits roll. Imagine bringing that magic touch to the X-Men in the MCU.

The X-Men stories have always been about so much more than flashy powers and snazzy costumes. They tackle prejudice, fear of what’s different, and the struggle for acceptance. Now, pair that with Peele’s signature style and you’d see mutants battling not just villains, but also their inner demons, in dark, suspense-filled alleys. Peele could offer the X-Men universe a flavor of horror-infused superhero awesomeness that would be simply unforgettable.

If you want a striking, thought-provoking X-Men movie, Peele would be an incredible choice for director.

While we daydream about the possibilities, let’s go back to the real world. There’s chatter that more writing assignments are on the horizon now that the writers’ strike is over. However, some projects might be on pause until other industry strikes get sorted.

Whatever happens, one thing’s clear: the Marvel universe is finally about to get a lot more mutant-y, and we’re here for it!
