WWE Fastlane 2023 live stream: Watch online
By Mark Lynch
When does WWE Fastlane 2023 start? Who will win the matches and why? Find out right here.
The WWE live event Fastlane isn’t an event that happens every year.
It first debuted in 2015 with Roman Reigns beating Daniel Bryan. The funny thing is the previous Fastlane was in 2021 where Roman Reigns fought Daniel Bryan in the main event again. Unfortunately, the AEW star won’t be on the 2023 card. As of now, neither is Roman Reigns. Nevertheless, WWE Fastlane 2023 could be interesting.
The event returns after a one-year hiatus, and it will feature some of WWE’s biggest stars right now, including World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, the uber-popular L.A. Knight and all-time great John Cena. But what will go down?
Coming up are the five matches scheduled for WWE Fastlane 2023, who could win each of them, the time the PLE begins, and how to watch it.
Be advised, the card could change at any time. Things like injuries, behind-the-scenes issues (real and Kayfabe), and more could affect the number of matches and who appears.
WWE Fastlane 2023 start time
WWE Premium Live Events used to take place on Sunday nights, but in recent years, they have become a staple of Saturday nights instead. Fastlane will continue that strategy, as the event airs this Saturday night.
WWE Fastlane kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 7, 2023. If you’re watching on the West Coast, it will begin at 5:00 p.m. PT. Its kick-off show will air an hour earlier in both time zones.
If you’re watching in the UK, the event will begin at 1:00 a.m. BST.
WWE Fastlane 2023 match card and predictions
Tag Team Match
John Cena & LA Knight (YEAH!) vs. Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa
Predicted Winners: John Cena & LA Knight
This is going to be Cena’s first win at a major event in a long time. However, the wrestling legend probably won’t get the pin. That honor will go to LA Knight and he’ll be going over on Jimmy Uso. This will lead to Roman Reigns having words with the Bloodline the following SmackDown.
WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match
Iyo Sky (champion) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka
Predicted Winner: Iyo Sky
Iyo Sky’s run as champion is just beginning. Despite the internet saying Damage CTRL is breaking up due to Bayley’s interferences and instigating matches, that won’t happen at Fastlane. This will most likely occur closer to WWE’s Royal Rumble and lead to their fight at WrestleMania.
So, yes, problems are likely on the horizon for Damage CTRL, but we’re not expecting them to have much effect on the outcome tonight.
Six-Man Tag Team Match
The LWO vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits
Predicted Winners: Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits
The LWO has been on a roll for quite some time now. But all good things must come to an end, anf that means that it’s time for that roll to conclude. Like this writer said in the previous WWE Live article for Payback, eventually, Rey Mysterio and the LWO will part ways. It could be at Fastlane.
Is tension on the horizon for the LWO? We’ll have to wait and see, but don’t be surprised if it all kicks off tonight for the faction.
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Finn Bálor & Damian Priest (champions) vs. Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso
Predicted Winner: Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso
Cody Rhodes hasn’t held a championship belt since he returned to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2022. In fact, the last time he had a WWE title was with his brother Goldust (Dustin Runnels) during one of his earlier runs with the company. This is a great opportunity for him and Jey Uso to win titles they’ve held before.
Plus, this can start the inevitable downfall of the Judgment Day, with Finn Bálor eventually leaving and Damian Priest going on to something bigger and better (more on that later).
World Heavyweight Championship (Last Man Standing Match)
Seth “Freakin” Rollins (champion) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Predicted Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura (then Damian Priest)
This writer is going more with his heart than logic. It’s doubtful that Shinsuke Nakamura will have a title run. However, winning a hard-fought match against Seth Rollins and losing the belt to Damian Priest in a Money In The Bank cash-in would be a memorable moment.
For Nakamura, he can add becoming a WWE World Heavyweight Champion to his legacy (even if it’s short-lived). Meanwhile, Damian Priest’s victory could help solidify Judgment Day as one of the best factions of all time.
Even if Rollins wins, Priest will probably still cash in the Money in the Bank Briefcase and become the World Heavyweight Championship.
