Loki season 2 returned for an epic sophomore outing but the adventures will continue again next week. Here’s when you can expect the next episode.

The Loki season 2 premiere was a success. The Marvel Cinematic Universe show gave viewers all of the answers they wanted with its return to Disney Plus. Mobius didn’t recognize his teammate because they hadn’t met yet. The death of Nathaniel Richards (a.k.a. He Who Remains) caused multiple branches in the timeline. And Sylvie applied for a job at McDonalds after killing Richards. The only question now is what’s next for the antagonists of Loki.

The trailers for Loki‘s new season show former TVA judge Ravonna Renslayer, but she wasn’t in the season 2 premiere. In the season 1 finale, she escaped the TVA before anything could happen to her. There’s no way she won’t feature in the rest of the season in a major capacity. Lookout for the show’s explanation of where she went after she left the TVA, and what she’s up to.

And then there’s Kang. He’s the villain that everyone wants to see. At the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, one of the Kang variants named Victor Timely shows up. He appears to be in the same era that Loki, Mobius, and Ravonna are seen in during the trailer below. It’s doubtful this is the only era and timeline they stay in, but who knows what awaits with Kang the Conqueror (or any version of him) looming over things.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens next. But if you’re planning on returning for episode 3, here’s when you can anticipate it to arrive on Disney Plus next week.

When does Loki season 2 episode 3 come out?

Loki season 2 episode 3 will arrive on Disney Plus next Thursday, October 19, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 8:00 p.m. CT, and 7:00 p.m. MT. The remaining four episodes will be released in that same time slot on a weekly basis for the four weeks after that.

With Ahsoka’s success, Disney Plus decided to put Loki in the US primetime hours. Since the God of Mischief is one of Marvel’s most popular characters, this should be a successful move – it sounds like it already has been, as the premiere episode garnered 10.9 million global views in its first three-days. If this trend continues, this will be a game changer for Marvel Studios and Disney Plus.

The early morning release (3 a.m. EST) always seemed unusual given how action-adventure-fantasy TV has always been a constant of primetime in the US. Maybe Marvel Studios didn’t think they could compete with popular broadcast shows and opted for the Netflix release format instead. That doesn’t appear to be the case given the success of both Ahsoka and Loki. However, it wouldn’t be shocking if that didn’t work for all shows. Lesser-known characters like Moon Knight and She-Hulk may not do as well in that spot. The alternative would be to keep the same time but change the release day. They’d still be on during the waking hours when the Marvel shows can get more viewers.

Irrespective of why Disney Plus has changed its release time, it’s working for them, and primetime is when you can expect to see the next episodes of Loki premiere.
