We understand the need to reboot the DCEU, but there is no denying that James Gunn and DC have done these actors wrong with the DCU reboot plans.

Being a DC fan is quite a rollercoaster ride with more lows than highs, especially in recent months. After years of struggles at the box office, DC Studios is hitting the reset button with a reboot coming from the top and trickling down.

While the DCEU once was filled with promise, the franchise never was able to live up to its rival, Marvel Studios. The lack of cohesion within the franchise caused a lot of frustration among fans. Hoping to set the future of DC Studios back on a course for success, DC tapped James Gunn and Peter Safran to steer the ship as the new heads of the studio.

Gunn and Safran promise to breathe new life into the DC Universe and there is a clear excitement among audiences for what the new leadership might be able to pull off, especially after seeing how Gunn handled the Guardians of the Galaxy in the MCU. This reboot hasn’t come without sacrifices though.

One of the most controversial aspects of the DCEU’s reboot has been the treatment of actors who have invested years of their careers into playing some of DC’s most iconic and well-known heroes. While there is no denying a reboot is best, we haven’t exactly been a fan of how DC has unjustly treated its legacy actors — particularly those on our list.
