It’s been a long time coming but it’s almost time for a new season of Rick and Morty. The sixth season aired from September through December last year and it was a memorable addition to the show’s collection of episodes. Now a new chapter will begin.
Season 7 of Rick and Morty will premiere with a story about Mr. Poopybutthole. Mr. Poopybutthole was shot by Beth (in “Total Rickall”), his wife left him, he broke his legs, and lost his job, so it makes sense that he’d be down and out. Because of all his bad luck, he’s been staying with Rick and the Smiths. Also, they caused a lot of his misfortune so this may be due to feeling guilty. If the title is anything like How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Mr. Poopybutthole is about to get his life together.
Season 7 of Rick and Morty could be make or break the show. The creator and voice of Rick Sanchez, Justin Roiland, is no longer involved with the popular Adult Swim show. That means things are going to be different. Chief among them could be the story as he was one of the writers. While parting ways with him was the right thing to do, it will be interesting to see how the show moves forward without him and if there will be any major changes to the story.

As Rick and Morty is an Adult Swim-exclusive series, the season 7 premiere can be viewed on TV on the Adult Swim channel itself. The episode is also expected to be made available on Adult Swim’s website. Rick and Morty will stream on Max and Hulu after the season is completed. However, there’s not yet a definitive date for that.
