Take a look at how Matthew McConaughey would look as Two-Face for the upcoming movie The Batman 2.

Alright, alright, alright!

Imagine Matthew McConaughey flipping a coin, one half his face all gnarly, and spewing out lines in that deep Texan drawl of his. That sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Batman’s villain gallery is like Hollywood’s Walk of Fame for villains. We’ve seen a slew of stars play the role, but no one’s really owned the role of Two-Face, begging the question: could McConaughey be it?

Fresh fan art is giving us all the hype we didn’t know we wanted and suggesting that McConaughey could absolutely nail the role of Two-Face in a Batman movie.

The spicy new fan art from artist imaginativehk paints a pretty convincing picture of McConaughey as Two-Face. The piece merges the actor’s cool-guy image with that of the iconic Batman villain. And oh boy, does it work! That signature coin of Two-Face? It’s there, giving a whole new meaning to McConaughey’s “just keep livin’” motto.

Originally known as Harvey Dent, a splash of corrosive chemicals to the face left him with a face that only a mother could love and gave way to a much darker and less sane persona. On one side, he’s the charismatic district attorney, on the other, he’s a horrible villain. Before the accident, Harvey Dent was the man.

The media called him “Apollo” because of his undeniable charm, swoon-worthy looks, and because of how confidence has always radiated out of him. If you’ve seen McConaughey in his grittier, less romantic roles like Killer Joe, Dallas Buyers Club, or True Detective, you know he would definitely be able to embody both the good and darker sides of Dent.

The Batman has its hands full with Catwoman’s whip-cracking, Riddler’s riddles, and Penguin’s… penguin-ness. Two-Face might have to wait for a bit before making his big-screen comeback, or maybe not. We don’t know yet. But we do know that a sequel to The Batman is being made, so Two-Face could be just the villain to shake things up.

And if that happens, McConaughey could very well be our guy. Would that be a coin toss you’d be willing to bet on?
