6. Danny Trejo

The legendary Danny Trejo has played a lot of larger-than-life characters throughout his career, but did you know that he also brought Bane to life once upon a time? He voiced the character in the critically-acclaimed animated series Young Justice, being something of a recurring presence throughout its earlier seasons.

This was a pretty spot on adaptation of Bane. An associate of the villainous organization known as The Light, he was renowned for both his brain and his brawn. He could be a mastermind when needed, overseeing operations and organizing some of the entity’s nefarious deeds. In what comes as a surprise to no one, he is also an indominable force, ruling over Santa Prisca exactly like you would expect him to.

We didn’t see as much of Trejo’s Bane as we would have liked to, but the actor voiced him remarkably well. He was slick and smooth, but also incredibly intimidating. In just a few moments, you could sense the presence that Bane carried himself with, and that is all down to Trejo’s convincing performance. He fit into the show really well when he made his first appearance, serving as the antagonist (and temporary ally) to the heroes that the plot needed him to be.
