10 fun horror-comedy movies perfect for Halloween
By Mark Lynch
Little Shop of Horrors
"“Feed me, Seymour / Feed me all night long / Ha ha ha ha ha! / ‘Cause if you feed me, Seymour / I can grow up big and strong.” -Audrey II"
This may not be popular among people born after the 1990s, however, it should be a Halloween staple. There are a couple of major things that set this apart from other movies on this list. Among them is the giant, human-eating plant. There isn’t a killer on this list as silly as that.
The other is the music. It was top-tier as well. Tisha Campbell, Michelle Weeks, and Tichina Arnold used their beautiful voices and helped make this a classic. How often do you get a killer plant eating people with music helping progress the story? Short answer, only in Little Shop of Horrors.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
"“It’s not easy having a good time! Even smiling makes my face ache!” -Dr. Frank N. Furter"
The Rocky Horror Picture Show isn’t just a horror show. It’s a Halloween must. Despite the movie debuting in 1975, people still dress up as the characters each year. The project is a fun, progressive, and sometimes creepy musical. In between the fun characters and the creation of a human, there’s music.
Some of the songs will make you want to dance (Frank-N-Furter’s intro, for example). Others are just captivating (for instance, “I’m going home”). There’s also an ending that no one can see coming. This writer has seen it a bunch and it’s still shocking and confusing.
