A new Spider-Man movie is coming to Disney+ in November (No, not that one)
By Cody Schultz
Disney+ will be dropping a new Spider-Man movie in November, it’s unfortunately just not the one Spider-Man movie we’ve been waiting for.
This November, Marvel fans can look forward not only to a new Marvel movie opening in theaters but also to a new Marvel movie coming to Disney+!
With October nearing its end, Disney+ has dropped the full list of streaming titles coming in November. It’s a list that includes many amazing titles including a new Spider-Man movie, but before you get too excited allow me to burst that bubble for you.
On Nov. 3, Disney+ will be adding Spider-Man: Far From Home to its library which is quite exciting but also a bit disappointing as we’d much rather be able to stream Spider-Man: No Way Home on the platform. No Way Home was such a masterpiece and it’s a shame the movie has yet to be added to the Disney+ library.
But hey, at least we’ll be able to enjoy one more Spidey movie on Disney+ beginning this November which is definitely worth celebrating.
Spider-Man movies streaming on Disney+
- Spider-Man
- Spider-Man 2
- Spider-Man 3
- The Amazing Spider-Man
- The Amazing Spider-Man 2
- Spider-Man: Homecoming
- Spider-Man: Far From Home (Streaming beginning Nov. 3)
- Venom
Disney+ has gradually been building up its Spider-Man movie library over the last several months, adding more of the Sony movies to its library. Currently, all but four major movies from the franchise are available to stream on Disney+ with the only films missing from the catalog at the moment being Spider-Man: No Way Home, Venom: Let the Be Carnage, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
It’s unclear when these four movies might join the others on Disney+, but it seems like Disney is working on expanding its content library little by little with the ultimate goal likely being to one day host all of the Spidey movies on the service.
Where is Spider-Man: No Way Home streaming?
One of the major Spider-Man movies that has yet to make its way to Disney+ is Spider-Man: No Way Home. The 2021 film saw all three Spider-Man actors unite on the big screen after Doctor Strange’s spell went wrong causing a crack in the multiverse.
The film broke box office records when it became the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie in the history of the franchise, raking in just shy of $2 billion at the box office. The movie’s biggest draw was, of course, the chance to see Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire all share the screen alongside many familiar faces from the three unique franchises.
Currently, No Way Home is not streaming on Disney+, but the film can be streamed via several other platforms including Hulu, Roku Channel, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu, Starz, and more. If you want to stream the film on some of these platforms, you will need a select subscription as the movie is only streaming via certain subscription tiers.
Are the Across the Spider-Verse movies streaming anywhere?
Another pair of amazing Spider-Man movies not streaming on Disney+ at the moment are Sony’s animated hits Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse. The two films are praised for being two of the best entries in the Spidey franchise and there is no denying Disney is hoping to one day add both to Disney+.
In the meantime, fans will have to turn to various streaming platforms to enjoy the movies via streaming. Across the Spider-Verse will be available to stream on Netflix beginning on Oct. 31, 2023, and the film is expected to remain on Netflix for several months. In addition to being available to watch on Netflix directly, the film is also available on VOd platforms including Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.
As for the franchise’s first installment, Into the Spider-Verse is not currently streaming widely on any major platform; however, fans have a few options to enjoy the movie. Like Across the Spider-Verse, Into the Spider-Verse is available for purchase via VOD platforms including Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. You can also stream the movie on Hulu, though you’ll need a premium subscription to enjoy the movie on Hulu.
