2. Nicholas Hoult

Nicholas Hoult is one of the best actors of his generation, and we think he’d make a great Batman. The X-Men star is already well acquainted with the superhero genre, but taking on the criminals of Gotham seems like a role he could conquer, and he doesn’t look bad as Bruce Wayne/Batman either!

Take a look at some epic fan art imagining Hoult as Batman from @clement.ink below:

Hoult was actually a contender to play Batman in The Batman and Superman in Superman: Legacy. Hoult lost out on both roles to Robert Pattinson and David Corenswet, but there’s a chance that Hoult could be in contention for the new Batman role. I think he’d be a perfect fit for the role. He’s about the right age (33 years old) to be cast as Batman and play the role for a few years.

We’ve seen Hoult play an array of characters over this career, and there’s nothing he can’t really do. He’s done horror, comedy, big-time drama, the works. One of my favorite performances of Hoult’s was his character in The Menu. The lack of self-awareness is staggering, but Hoult plays it so straight. It’s so funny. A Batman similar to that could be incredible and unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

Most likely, Hoult’s Batman would embrace the dark and brooding nature of the character. If he can bring some of the charisma and charm to the screen in Batman in a way that we haven’t seen in a long time, Hoult could crush it.
