The season 7 premiere of Rick and Morty featured some classic characters from the show. Birdperson, Gearhead, Squanchy, and Rick tried to help Mr. Poopybutthole get his family back. They fail miserably. To make things worse, Mr. Poopybutthole’s wife was dating The Predator (the same person he hired to help him). In the end, Mr. Poopybutthole finds out that he needs to move on with this life.

The first episode of Rick and Morty season 7 was funny, but unlike the previous seasons. The previous premieres helped establish the season’s theme. Instead, fans were given another funny episode. Not that’ there’s anything wrong with that. However, fans may have wanted more of Rick going after the man who killed his family. Thankfully, this was only episode one. At some point, the two Ricks will face off.

The cold open for episode 2 (titled “The Jerrick Trap”) showed Rick and Jerry switching minds. This leads to both of their deaths in calamitous ways. In one of the previews, Rick is captured by aliens that resemble a stereotypical mob. Their boss thinks this is a huge mistake and he’s right. However, he thinks it’s because Rick will kill them. Unbeknownst to them, Rick is incapacitated. Unfortunately for the alien mob, Morty is more than capable of handling himself. He may run scared, but he’s killed his share of aliens and people on his own.

How to watch Rick and Morty season 7

As Rick and Morty is an Adult Swim-exclusive series, season 7, episode 2 can be viewed on TV on the Adult Swim channel itself. The episode is also expected to be made available on Adult Swim’s website. Rick and Morty will stream on Max and Hulu after the season is completed. However, there’s not yet a definitive date for that.
