John Cena is one of the greatest sports entertainers in WWE history, yet these five things people still won’t admit about him.

If you’ve been a fan of the WWE since the early 2000s, you probably remember John Cena’s debut. Kurt Angle issued an open challenge and Cena came out. Kurt asked what quality Cena has and he responded, “Ruthless, aggression.” This didn’t make him popular. The gimmick almost cost him his job. But Cena didn’t give up. He reinvented himself and eventually became one of the greatest sports entertainers of all time.

Cena’s been wrestling for over two decades and continues to be one of the best in the business. However, for years, wrestling fans have had a hard time admitting this. It didn’t help that he came in around the end of the Attitude Era and didn’t really fit in (before he was responsible for a major shift in the company’s direction, leading WWE in a more light-hearted, family-friendly direction). Nevertheless, Cena didn’t conform. He did things his own way and succeeded, helping the company succeed in a new era as a result.

Yet, even today, these five things are difficult for hardcore wrestling fans to admit. Let’s get into it.
