3. John Cena makes everyone look great

Once upon a time, John Cena was known as someone who wouldn’t put people over. Irrespective of who he fought, John Cena had to win at all costs. It even earned him the nickname “SuperCena” because he just wouldn’t take a loss. Thankfully, that eventually changed as Cena began doing more to help the careers of younger superstars when he approached veteran status.

Cena was defeated by The Miz at WrestleMania 27 in the main event in a match could have made The Miz’s career. When Bray Wyatt was at the height of his popularity during his Fiend persona, Cena helped Bray look like a master of the supernatural in a very goofy and entertaining match – with their 2020 “Firefly Fun House” match making up for the shortcomings of their previous feud in 2014.

At WrestleMania 39 earlier this year, Cena lost to Austin Theory and made the up-and-comer look good. Now, he’s continuing to nurture younger talent through his appearances on NXT and SmackDown. Meanwhile, you have the Hulk Hogan’s of the world who refused to lose later in their career. This speaks volumes about how Cena has grown as a person and wrestler.
