2. Season 4

Each season of Star Wars Rebels offered its unique rhythm and tune. Season 4 was the grand finale – the culmination of events that had been building up bit by bit. It beautifully addressed the looming threats and pending questions and while doing so, the characters we’d grown so fond of matured before our eyes, facing challenges that tested their bonds and beliefs. Yet, it wasn’t just about tying up loose ends – it was about giving the story and its characters the closure and justice they deserved.

But why, you might ask, does it land in the second spot out of the four seasons? The answer lies in the balance of its storytelling. While season 4 had the enormous task of wrapping everything up, season 3 delivered consistent high-stakes action and vital character developments, often setting the stage for the fourth season’s dramatic moments. That’s not to downplay the brilliance of season 4, though. In many ways, its silver medal positioning is more about the strength of the entire Rebels series than any particular shortcomings. Season 4 gave us an ending that felt both an end and a new beginning, securing its rightful place as one of the best in the series.

And then, Ahsoka was made.
