2. Alan Ritchson

Smallville season 5, 6, and 8

Alan Ritchson starred as Arthur Curry, also known as AC, also known as Aquaman, in WB’s Smallville. Ritchson first appeared in the series is season 5, but stuck around for season 6, took a year off, and then returned in Smallville season 8. He’s featured in some great episodes of the series with a list of accomplishments that include saving Lois’s life.

Ritchson is the second-best Aquaman we’ve ever seen in film and television. There’s a not-so-good argument that Ritchson is better than Jason Momoa given the success of Smallville, but I don’t think that debate really holds water. Sure, Ritchson could have been as impactful as Momoa given the opportunity, but he didn’t get the opportunity while Momoa’s had plenty of opportunities to shine as Aquaman, and he does.

Ritchson, who also starred in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Titans as Hank Hall/Hawk, might not be done with DC just yet either. There’s been some chatter about Ritchson taking on the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Could we see Ritchson as the new Batman? We’ll just have to wait and see!
